The Wanderers collection is 8,888 stylized first-person spaceship cockpits. Each is an 8-second looping scene of a ship engaging a warp drive. At the center of the frame is an octagonal window, with five window panels radiating from the center and cockpit controls and a pilot's arms visible below.
The first nine randomly generated traits are the Window, Panels (5), Cockpit, and Arms (2). Looking through the window and panels, you’ll find four additional traits: Planets, Ships, Celestial Bodies, and Anomalies, which collectively make up the Scene that the starship flies through. And, as the animation plays, you'll hear another random trait - the Music.
The final trait is Special, which is only readable in the metadata and has no impact on the appearance of the NFT - though it does impact airdrops and worldbuilding. In all, there are 15 traits used to construct each Wanderer.
Caution: The Special trait is among the most valuable but is not highly ranked by OpenRarity.
In the months after the original mint, collectors began discussing various ‘meta-traits’ within the Wanderers collection. These were trait and aesthetic combinations that weren’t picked up by rarity ranking sites which looked only at individual trait occurrence rates.
Each Wanderer has 5 window panels, and each panel can roll one of 39 different traits (including ‘none’, an empty panel).
Below are several commonly recognized panel configurations, where a 1 indicates a panel is present and a 0 indicates an empty panel.
1-2-3-4-5 | Common Name | Collector’s Value | Total | Total (Hexagon or Sound Cockpit) |
1-1-1-1-1 | Full/All Panel | Coveted | 258 | 51 |
0-0-0-0-0 | No Panel | Coveted | 264 | 37 |
1-1-0-1-1 | Sunroof | Premium | 281 | 46 |
0-0-1-0-0 | Moonroof | Premium | 267 | 35 |
0-1-1-1-0 | Canopy | Premium | 276 | 42 |
0-1-0-1-0 | Symmetric | Modest | 256 | 44 |
1-0-1-0-1 | Trinity | Modest | 288 | 44 |
1-0-0-0-1 | Underglow | Modest | 283 | 42 |
You may find that certain Panels or Cockpits enhance the visual effect of a given panel pattern. For example, two of the Cockpit traits have a windowed floor: Hexagon and Sound. If you combine this with a no panel, the Wanderer will have 6 empty window panels instead of just 5. Combine it with the symmetric 0-1-0-1-0 arrangement and you now have a unique cross-shaped window pattern.
The panel patterns are almost entirely valued based on aesthetic preferences. The Collector’s Value listed above is not a firm rule and will likely shift over time. Although all the patterns previously described are symmetrical, there are also asymmetrical panel configurations that can be highly aesthetically pleasing as well.
There are 301 Wanderers which feature the same arm trait for both the left and right arms. Some of these are exceptionally rare - see them all on Rarity Sniper

* Antennae count of 836 includes glitched Bong traits (83). There are 2 double-arm Antennae with a glitched Bong (#1622 and #7590).
** Whiskey count of 286 includes glitched Wine traits (101). There is no double-arm Whiskey with a glitched Wine.
*** Due to the right-arm Wine appearing as a Whiskey, there are no visible double-arm Wine Wanderers. However, based on metadata alone, there are two: #4872 and #5301. Likewise, there is one double-arm Bong, though the right arm appears visually as an Antennae: #4733.
There are 51 possible Arm traits, which produces 1,119 unique arm combinations. Some of these you will see frequently, while some are extremely scarce. 209 of them appear only once in the collection. Explore the 1-of-1 Arm combinations at RaritySniper. [Rarity Sniper]
Note: Wine and Bong appear disproportionately on this list due to the lack of each trait in the Right Arm position, making it half as likely that any given arm combination exists.

Notable individual selections;
The Planet Pass collection is 8,897 planets, including 36 1-of-1 Anomalies. Each planet is built from the following components
One of the unique aspects of Planet Pass is that each trait also has a sound associated with it. Some sounds are unique to a single trait, while others repeat on multiple attributes within the same trait category. You’ll need to listen to the planets to fully understand their rarity!

The Wandernauts collection is subdivided into 16 different Characters, which means the rarity within the collection must be considered separately for each Character. However, some traits do appear across multiple Characters, making them potentially collectible as a set.
Each Wandernaut is constructed from up to 12 different categories of traits. There are only two required categories on every Wandernaut: Character and Background. All other trait categories have the potential to be empty, which produces a rare group of only 18 Wandernauts with 4 total traits. [Rarity Sniper].
Traits can control different parts of the appearance depending on the Character that it modifies. As an example, Mortis: The top portion of his head comes from hit Suit trait, but the side of his head comes from his Head trait. However, some Head traits can affect both the top and the side, controlling the entirety of his head’s appearance. Moreover, the 'z-index' (the layering order) of the traits sometimes causes the Suit trait to apply over the top of the Head trait.
The essential trait. Can’t be a Wandernaut without one. Collect all 16 to assemble a full squad.
Just like the Wanderers collection, the Special trait is among the most sought-after in the collection. These Wandernauts will trade at a premium regardless of any other traits that are present.
All Wandernauts receive Starfield White as a baseline Background trait. Most other traits are mutually exclusive, meaning they cannot appear with any other Background trait. However, the other starfield colors (blue, green, and pink) can all roll independently. These are popular aesthetic traits and are also coveted for their rarity. Only 228 in the collection feature all 3 star colors simultaneously. [Rarity Sniper]
Many of the Aura traits are unique to Oracle, but all Wandernauts have the chance to roll Psychedelic, Nebula, and Quake.
Prodigy and Guest cannot have Head traits. Instead, you’ll find their head appearance is primarily modified by Headwear and Face traits.
Cannot appear on Mortis, Oracle, Selene, or Vizard.
Several of these traits are common among nearly all Wandernauts, such as Alien, Blissed, Classic, Cyborg, and Undead. Can you find which Wanderers traits these reference?
Only Vizard has no Face.
Only Reef and Tarlor can appear with no Suit.
The weapon category. Oracle is telekinetic and obviously has no need for such items. Vizard discards all but the Knife. [and only 96 exist in the collection]
This is an accent trait, which typically appears as face markings, jewelry, or glasses. They only appear on Aegis, Chasm, and Tarlor.
This trait is exclusive to Tarlor. The rarest of the Orbs are coveted due to their references to the original Wanderers collection.
Reef is the only Wandernaut which can roll a Smoke trait, but Halcyon also has a Smoker trait in the Face category.
Traits that appear across multiple Characters may be collectible as a set.
Below are the traits which can appear on any Character. Collectors may seek out complete trait sets across all 16 Characters, so filling these gaps leaves room for some creativity.

Note: The Gear trait cannot appear on Oracle; Gear can only roll Knife on Vizard; and it can only roll Lantern and several character-specific attributes on Halcyon. Additionally, the Face slot is always empty for Vizard.
Another aspect of Wandernaut traits that may be of interest to collectors are those that are thematic across multiple different trait slots. One example of that would be the Classic traits, which can appear in Face, Flair, Head, Headwear, and Suit slots.
Below are the maximum number of Classic traits which can appear on each Character. [Rarity Sniper]
